About the Work doggedly managed the design and construction of a pool renovation on time and under budget, securing years of summer enjoyment, water education, and safety training for the families of Children’s Aid and Staten Island. The 8,500 SF renovation relieved decades of unsustainable operating costs from daily water loss. The pool improvements included a new pool shell, decking, bathrooms, and lockers, representing the partnership of so many Staten Islanders who joined together and amplified their voices (and their checkbooks) so the children and youth of the Goodhue Center could have the pool they deserve. This project was an absolute joy for the AtW team to work on, seeing the smiling faces of neighborhood kids cannonballing into their new pool was almost payment enough.
